We loved working with Michael and Yolanda. They were married at the Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando on April 10, 2010 and were a match made in heaven. We were thrilled when we had heard about a new Waldorf Astoria opening in Central Florida. This hotel is one of the best and most well known hotels in New York and across the globe! We were even more excited when we had our first bride come to us to create the wedding cake of her dreams at the new and beautiful Waldorf. This was going to be the first and biggest wedding the new hotel would host and Bake Me A Cake was to take a part in it.
This was one of the biggest cakes we had done in a while and here are the results.

Recently, Mercedes and her son Michael took a trip to Atlantic City to demonstrate how to use rolled fondant in the cake world. Mercedes is proud to say she uses Satin Ice Rolled Fondant as her exclusive choice. It is easy to use, has a great flavor and an unbelievable assortment of colors. We had a great trip and many cake professionals from around the country were amazed at the work Mercedes does.
