Another Real Wedding, Sierra and Chris May 22, 2010
Just this past weekend I was honored to be a guest in this real wedding. Sierra and Chris were married on May 22,2010 at the Holy Trinity. The reception followed that evening at a beautiful country club in Metro West. Sierra was a beautiful bride and is one of Bake Me A Cake’s own being Mercedes assistant.

Dove Award Winning Band, Tenth Avenue North Performs in Orlando
Dove Award Winning Band Tenth Avenue North, recently performed a show at the Metro Church in Orlando, Florida. Sponsored by Z 88.3 FM, the band performed from the New Album, The Light Meets the Dark.
Bake Me A Cake created a beautiful and tasty chocolate ganache cake topped with chocolate covered strawberries to welcome the band to Orlando.

Another Real Wedding at the Portofino Bay Hotel
We loved working with Michael and Yolanda. They were married at the Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando on April 10, 2010 and were a match made in heaven. Here is a glimpse of how it all came together. Our First of the Waldorf…
We were thrilled when we had heard about a new Waldorf Astoria opening in Central Florida. This hotel is one of the best and most well known hotels in New York and across the globe! We were even more excited when we had our first bride come to us to create the wedding cake of her dreams at the new and beautiful Waldorf. This was going to be the first and biggest wedding the new hotel would host and Bake Me A Cake was to take a part in it.
This was one of the biggest cakes we had done in a while and here are the results.

The Atlantic City Bakery Expo
Recently, Mercedes and her son Michael took a trip to Atlantic City to demonstrate how to use rolled fondant in the cake world. Mercedes is proud to say she uses Satin Ice Rolled Fondant as her exclusive choice. It is easy to use, has a great flavor and an unbelievable assortment of colors. We had a great trip and many cake professionals from around the country were amazed at the work Mercedes does. If you missed it Mercedes will be in San Diego for the ICES convcntion in August, Las Vegas in September and the Oklahoma Sugar Art Show in Tulsa in October.
